Spotlight Kravet – A Go To Design Resource
One of my favorite interior design resources and go-to brands for fabrics, wallpapers, trims, and custom furniture is Kravet. They have an amazing selection of these design necessities in every style, color, and price range. Their quality is top notch, customer service fantastic, and the ease of using their website is the best in the business.
Kravet fabrics are always on trend, but I also love them for their great selection of the basics too. They carry one of the best faux leather selections which I’ve been selling a ton of lately. I used to be a big fan of Kravet’s custom upholstery because of it’s fantastic quality without over the top price points. They used to be able to make high-end custom furniture items without the long lead times, however since the pandemic, they are taking a very long time now. So, if a client is not in a big hurry, I will still source their furniture.
Kravet is also a leader in technology. They were first in creating an easy to use website for designers to access pricing, stock, place and track orders, which I can do for clients 24-7. I also love their sample scanners in their showrooms, which saves so much time and headaches from writing mistakes when borrowing samples. This means I don’t need to pull out my reading glasses to read and jot down 10 tiny numbers from the back of a fabric tag, which is awesome! (Yes, I’m showing my age here but I just started needing the reading glasses so I’m not THAT old! Lol!)
Through the years, I’ve watched Kravet evolve, expand, and relocate their showroom. Each time they make themselves better. I’ve gotten to know the super helpful showroom sales people, most of whom have been working there since before I can remember. It’s so nice to see their smiling, familiar faces each time I enter their beautiful showroom. You know a company is doing something right when employees never leave!
Kravet recently started added some nice accessories to their line and also a quick-ship line that's on a separate website. I have also used some of their drapery hardware in a couple of projects. If you’re wondering if you can purchase Kravet products without a designer, the answer is no. Kravet is a "to the trade only" showroom. You can go in and look around and possibly get a sample but you'll need to work through a designer or architect to get information or place orders. If you need guidance on selecting the appropriate fabrics, trims, wallpaper, or furniture items to coordinate seamlessly with your rooms, I definitely recommend working with an experienced interior designer to avoid costly mistakes and get your project done right :-))
