Lara attended Cornell University’s School of Fine Arts, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and The New York School of Interior Design.  Upon earning her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts degree, she worked for some of the country’s most famous interior designers in New York City before starting her own design firm in 1995.  Since then, she has won Westchester Home Magazine Design Awards in 2012 and was a finalist in 2018, 2021, & 2022.  She won Serendipity Magazine Design Innovator’s Awards in 2019, 2022, & 2023.  She was voted Best Interior Designer in Westchester by Westchester Magazine in 2018 and was voted Best Home Decor & Furnishings by Greenwich Lifestyle Magazine in 2024.
